Hi Chris, Just wanted to thank you again for the great hospitality
and exceptional food enjoyed by all who attended our regional
Visual Arts NS holiday dinner this evening. I received nothing
but great comments about the food and service and many commented
that this was their first visit to Jamieson's.
I have to admit a little pride in showing off our "neighbourhood
pub." We couldn't have asked for a better setting or more
welcoming hosts.
Thanks again to all our servers, your kitchen staff and all
others who made our evening such a pleasure. See you again,

Hi Chris: My mum and I, along with our friend from Northern
Ireland, were at your establishment last night, the service
was great, and the food was terrific.
I really enjoyed my cajun chicken sandwich and the warm Belgian
chocolate cake. All of us enjoyed our evening very much.

Chris, Being recently posted to Halifax it was the first time
I had to enjoy your facility (which came highly recommended
from many of the peers I talked with I might add) ... everyone
had a spectacular time yesterday and spoke highly of the quality
of your food after they left ...
I plan to make another trip there with my wife at some point
in the future now that I have experienced it. Thanks for making
our function a success ... The great service and hospitality
were very much appreciated.

Chris & Staff,
I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude towards
the Jamieson`s staff. In particular, Mike and Christy. Your
restaurant was the setting for my boyfriends surprise anniversary
dinner last night, October 15th, 2008. Although, I was brought
there under false pretenses, your staff had created a beautiful
romantic dinner for two on the center stage.
The servers surrounded the area with candles and rose petals,
and provided the perfect atmosphere for what was to come.
Mike, the chef prepared an amazing feast for this special
occasion. Not only was the food spectacular, the presentation
of the meals were marked by flawless craftsmanship. Christy,
our server was especially attentive, and made sure that we
were well taken care of.
As the evening was nearing the final phase, your staff honored
us by providing the privacy necessary for my boyfriend to
propose. I accepted, and it was a wonderful evening, that
would never have materialized without the incredible skills
of your staff.
Thank you for giving us this wonderful memory, that will be
with us forever.
A.R. & W.G.

Chris,
All I can say is WOW.
A colleague of my wifes recommended that we come to your restaurant.
We are so used to checking out new spots in the downtown core
of Halifax, that I never ever imagined that such a hidden
gem would reside in a small strip mall in Cole Harbour.
Kudos to you, my friend on owning such a wonderful restaurant.
We had an absolutely amazing meal in a wonderful atmosphere,
and the service was second to none. We will most definitely
be back!
Regards, Marty R

was well prepared and very good, the staff was attentive and
the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.
I look forward to the next visit.
Thank You. Chris M.

Hi Chris, myself and 7 friends dropped in for dinner and I
have to tell you that the eight of us can't say enough about
the meal we had last night. My husband was ecstatic over your
selections on tap and all of us loved the décor.
I actually have an anxiety disorder and eating out is very
difficult for me, but from the moment we sat in the "living
room" to wait for our table I felt comfortable. That was the
most important feature of your establishment for me.
I will say though that the food was out of this world. 7 different
meals were served and all 8 of us we're happy. As someone
who has worked in food service in the past I am aware that
that isn't always the case.
I thank you and your gracious wait staff for a delightful
evening and we will see you again soon. Deborah L.

Chris, Dave and I were in for supper tonight and had the special...
it was Chicken stuffed with spinach, red pepper and goat cheese,
topped with a cream pesto sauce. It was Delicious!!! it was
fantastic.
Shauna, was our wonderful waitress....I really think that
this should be a special you should have again, I really mean
it it was one of the best suppers I have had, my husband Dave
loves the stuffed chicken and he said it was even a bit better,
just because of the amazing tastes and flavours.
Anyways just wanted to let you know that it was a fantastic
supper. Great staff too by the way.

Hello Chris, Just a quick note to say we and our friends thoroughly
enjoyed ourselves at the New Year's Eve dinner. We always
love dining at your restaurant, and often mention it to our
friends and acquaintances, and like the fact that there's
usually live entertainment available.
The meal was superb, and the singer that night was just the
best; we loved him. It was a great way to spend the evening,
and we all agreed it was the best decision we'd made for New
Year's.
Thanks again for a great evening,

I
am more an irregular than regular at Jamieson's but when I
pull in to the parking lot I pretty much know what it is I
am ordering before the car is in park.
If
it be any day other than Friday I will be ordering fish and
chips and the best they be this side of the harbour - and
quite possibly the best in HRM. If one likes fish lightly
battered, not hard as a clamshell and heavy as lead weight,
then this is the spot. The chips aren’t the all too frequent
squishy, uniform-shape supermarket freezer-bag variety either;
instead, always a generous portion of the home-cut, home-cooked
variety.
The
real treat is the Friday lunch special and I be speaking of
the Beef & Guinness Stew. Now here's a rich, hearty, wholesome
dish to take the chill off a winter’s day, and as Irish a
meal as the name of the restaurant that makes it.
When
I first tasted the dish I knew I had found a place that I
could frequent without reservation, and that Jamieson’s doesn’t
take reservations is my only reservation about Jamieson’s.
But I suppose this is part of the charm. Part of the Irish
way!
Slainte ye all: D.C.
